Brad,

Going by my mail order catalogs, the first I see the Rolls being advertised is late '84. Definitely a classic in my eyes. One of the most elegant looking saddles ever made.

CR Folk:

When did the Sella San Marco Rolls saddle become available? My tentative guess is 84/85 but I'm not sure.

When I moved to Palo Alto in 1982 the Turbo was the overwhelming hot saddle (there was a smattering of Concors too).

Scrutinizing my stack of magazines indicates that the pelloton was pretty much addicted to Turbos 'til 1984. I don't seem to have any magazines from 1985. By 1986 there are ads for Rolls saddles. By 87 Roche was winning the multi-enchilada on one.

PS -- um, uh, Amstel Gold?
