Marty, I'm a fan of the early Serottas as well, in fact I even have a small assortment. When Serotta was couting the shop explaining the 'new' bikes in the mid 80's, i mentioned the medium metallic blue example of one of his earliest efforts and he said that I should consider taking it off the display rack because it was not the best example of his efforts.
I still have it on display unbuilt and unsold
