Now THIS is a collector's item !

Original DANIEL REBOUR Drawing Rene Herse 58

Item # 730843086

This seems to be an item worth some interest and conversation .

The actual original artwork , by the hand of the single most famous artist in the world of cycling . And if the piece is in less than perfect condition , it's due to other hands at a certain well known cycling magazine , in 1958 .

Needs - deserves - a trip to the framing shop , where they understand terms like , "archivally framed , museum mounts , acid-free matting , UV filtering glass" . Figure $100 , maybe $125 , to have it properly framed , so that it will be in exactly this condition , 100 years from now . Before framing , put some top-quality paper in the photocopier , make a copy of the handwriting on the back , show that copy in a little matted "window" in the final framing job . When people look at the framed artwork , they can read the note on the back at the same time .

By the way , I'm sure that "38 x 18 cm Rene Herse tandem" is the size of the DRAWING , not the size of the original tandem . : - ) That "joeeramone" guy sure does get the good stuff .
