While on the small Greek Island of Kalymnos (SP?) a couple of years ago I came across Ouzo in aluminium bottles of the exact diameter and height to fit the old cages on my bikes .
All the bottles I have from my 50's/ 60's racing days bear the scars and dents of hard use. The Ouzo is called" Samos Ouzo" made by J. Zarbanis & Co (0273 62242, 62175) and comes from that Island.( We emptied one bottle whilst in Greece and it was not bad - if you like Ouzo.Wine in Oak is supposed to improve with age but Ouzo in Aluminium??
