Tom Board was working at FW's in Kennington Road from 1960 to 1962. He built our old ladyback tandem and our tandem trike during this period. Our tandem trike had a special axle designed by Frank Whitt, Evans only made three like it. After following the 1980 TdeF across the alps on the tandem trike we loaded the machine on at Grenoble railway station and SNCF railways managed to break the axle in two.Tony Oliver was my stoker on this trip, it inspired him to build his own tandem trike. Tony was the bravest stoker I ever rode with. The tandem trike finished up in Ken Rogers grave yard awaiting repair in the end we got fed up waiting for it and sold it to him. Does anyone know what happened to it.

Evans tandems are good machines and classy shame its not got its original equipment.
