I think I've become as Ebay skeptical as you, but he did say at the bottom that the tires and handlebar tape were not original. (And not in good taste - IMHO) Skin wall clinchers with short valve stems aren't THAT hard to still find!!

Dumb question du jour: what's up with those monumental valve stems? Are they an integral part of the Confente's "showroom new condition" as described by the seller? Did I miss something? Pete (in sunny SoCal) Imandt
