Carsten's description of the Speedwell's competition history is oddly brief. Luis Ocana rode a Motobecane-badged Speedwell in the TdF in the early 70's, inluding Ocana's TdF victory and also the Tour in which he incurred his famous crash while pursuing Merckx on a mountain ascent in a driving rainstorm.
