Greetings, all. I was active in this list earlier this year, but I dropped off awhile because of my travel schedule.

First, my Carlton Catalina project is finished; pictures are at http://www.nonlintec.com/carlton if anyone is interested.

Second, I have a new project, an Allegro. Pictures are at http://www.nonlintec.com/allegro. I was told that this bike is from 1954, but I'm skeptical. Some of the components are obviously later, but others seem consistent with the mid 50s. Any comments?

Also, whatever its date, what components should I look for to replace the anachronistic ones? Gran sport rear? Stronglight crank?

Thanks--
