Just looked at your Carlton.What a nice job! I especially appreciate your green paint job.Had a friend who could paint his bike to look like it was lacquered. He liked to use blacks and whites-a tough choice. Many , many thin coats like you said. I had forgotten about the Weinmann 999 brakes that I had on some previous bike, maybe the Stebler. Try "Ooopps" on your fluted cable housing, you may not need NOS.. It will even remove paint mark spills on the rubber.I did this after I touched up my cable guides on the rear brake cable housing and even lower derailler cable housing.
