First, is it an real Hetchins or a Hetchins?? just kidding, let's not respond to that comment.
Next, this is the first bike, the Raleigh 3 speed, to have ever gotten any damage that I have evered shipped. I have gotten bikes shipped to me with damage but most of these are within the states. I have shipped 3 bikes to Japan prior to this one and all have gotten there unscathed. All of these were shipped economy ground surface shipping. Now I am talking about Postal shipping here too, not Oops AkA. UpS.
I would imagine if I were shipping a Herse or something of significant value, I would crate it and pay the extra and The buyer would not doubt go the extra $ for the Herse to arrive safely as well. After all, he already paid a hefty sum for the Herse, what is an extra $$ for the shipping.
Also, thanks to all for responding to my post. Many offers of assistance and advice, Thanks to all
Walt
