Whatchu talkin' bout willis? ;)

Go grab your 1996, 1997, or 2000 catalog. There's a picture of the original headset, milled and engraved like the super record.

It doesn't look anything like the current headset profile. It has very square sides.

I have at least two of the very earliest King headsets and they are virtually identical to new except having no etched lettering.

I just called Chris King as I was writing this and they say that the only changes since 1976 (!) has been slight stack height revisions. Aesthetically they are the same. By the way, King will supply no-logo, "unmarked" versions

on special order now. They also have parts to supply the old stack height if

you want to exactly match what you had... Any shop with an account can order these, no special problems from them... I

am putting together an order now so if anyone wants a nice unmarked satin silver or black ano 1" Chris King, let me know in the next few days! ($90.00 a pop) Ho ho ho
