I joined this list some time ago at the encouragement of another member but am just getting around to posting an introduction. I probably know many of you already from transactions on eBay and elsewhere. My original eBay alias was my email address, gsc2@po.cwru.edu but I recently changed it, to avoid spam, to pedal-professor. This is a reference to my position as an experimental physicist on the faculty of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. My bicycle has been my primary means of transportation since I was a child; for the past 20+ years I’ve been riding my Proteus Pro-Tourist to work, on tours and vacations. Starting a couple of years ago I started accumulating (a lot) more bicycles and parts. Bicycles or frames include a 72 and an 80’s Paramount, an 80’s Colnago, a #1 and a #2 early 60’ s Ephgrave, a 753 TI Team Raleigh and a new Ron Cooper/Bates Volante. There ’s also one more modern bicycle that I shouldn’t mention on these pages. If you’d like to see pictures of these bikes and/or read more details, navigate to the web page http://users.adelphia.net/~gchottiner/
