The prices to which these really obscure parts have gone do amaze me, although there are lots of explanations:

I'm happy that the prices are so high that the parts won't ever get tossed out, but they might be high enough to suggest that duplicating some with modern tooling might be economically viable, and I just might make some inquiries, doing something along the lines of Chuck's catalogues.

In any event, I can't possibly justify bidding, just because it would have a catastrophic impact on the most limited resource: marital capital...:-)
