Are you sure about that? I also have a 1997 Countach OS, and I believe that model was the highest of their "2nd-tier" frames, made in Padova. The "private reserve" frames were (still are?) the ones supposedly made by Mondonico. That's the way the description is now on their website, and I think it said similar in '99 when I purchased mine, though the geometries have changed. And I think the Countach is TIG'd now.

Do you have a catalog, or something specific to that production year? Maybe the model quality "split" was at a different point in '97.
