I saw a pair of the Lytalloy cranks on an Ephgrave at the Larz; I believe you may have offered a set on Ebay within the last couple of years. Untill recently I didn't know such things existed, save for the "hybrid" T.A. set. Were alloy cottered cranks a practical thing? I would imagine stress cracks around the cotter hole might occur. For that matter, how did the T.A. Criterium set hold up in use? Local folklore has it that they didn't last all that well.
