Regretfully, I am offering my Chris Kvale frame for sale. It was an experiment by me to try to set up a bike ala Rivendell, with the saddle and handlebar even. The frame is from the early 1980s and was Chris's personal bike. He refinished it a couple of years ago and I bought it in essentially new paint condition. It is 57cm seattube with a 55 toptube, which when set up like I ride at 75cm center of crank to top of saddle, put the handlebar about 1 inch below the saddle top. I understood it to be Reynolds 531, but no tubing decal. It has the characteristic Chris Kvale very thin lugs--filed to blend with the tube at the point. Color is Green with yellow panel and matching green under the toptube Silca pump. Two water bottle cages are also color matched green. Eyelets for fenders. I've ridden this frame 400 miles tops. It rides wonderfully and I would keep it if I could sell one of my other frames first--but, Brian is sending me a Baylis (pre-owned) and I must make room for it. Campagnolo headset.
