Art Stump and "Buster Wilson" G.P. WILSON,

Buster Wilson also made unusual and somewhat advanced designs.

His 17/4 PH dropouts were the lightest and strongest, functional dropouts ever made.

He offered them thruout the 1970's and there were several thicknesses. The ultra thin ones were hard to use as the hub axle would have to be ground shorter than normal, and no springs on the qr's.

I argued many times with Art about the 17/4 PH Stainless, He thought it was just over kill. Buster and I both used it for many parts of the bikes and only found it to be Expensive.

A Famous Quote from Art Stump: Framebuilders are like Prize Fighters, "You could always count on them to be making a comeback"
