I forget the name of the manufacturer but if your jockey wheels are the ones I think they are, they have a very smooth spinning bearing that offers very little resistence if set up properly with the supplied washers. I considered it an upgrade. A couple of my N.R. derailluers have them.

This thread on the decline of is pointless as far as I'm concerned. As bicyclists we are constantly on the defensive in this car dominant society, so lets not be stabbing each other in the back. I stand with Tom Sanders. I have "modern" tigged bikes as well as old classics and I love them all. I used to be a snob until I learned how to build frames, but now I feel whatever works. If it's a bicycle I dig it. Vive La Differance!

By the way, Otis, if you ever want to sell that Italvega let me know :} I have been trying to find another one ever since I stupidly sold my Super Speciale about 15 years ago. I loved that bike.
