Hi folks, quite a number of you wrote in to tell us what they found under their relative specimens of dolled-up shrubbery some days ago. I will not tell you what I had, else people might think I am that filthy rich that I don´t have to sell part of my book collection to get what I did.

What I would rather tell you is what I did NOT get.

For one, I did not get a patina´ed Campag 40 hole, steel centre, small flange rear hub. I really was cross with Father Christmas over that one. He obviously does not read the CR list over attentively.

When I read Hilary´s post a couple of minutes ago I remembered that I did not get a T/TF quadrant, either; matter of fact, this has been going on now for several Christmases in a row, and that IS a shame, isn´t it?

Lastly, someone in the heavenly post office failed to notice that I urgently require a pair of good quality, possibly Gloria, thirties side pulls, calipers only.

You will easily be able to see what a gloom and doom orientated Christmas I had when I tell you that all of these missing items have kept me from finishing one otherwise rather nice, fully on-topic bicycle each.

So, if there is someone out there who might possibly help me to a somewhat more cheerful 2003 Christmas, I will certainly have a look in my boxes to see what I can do to reciprocate the pleasure.

In the meantime, let me wish you all a very happy new year.

Yours, Toni Theilmeier, Osnabrueck, Germany.

P.S.: Did I miss something, or are the genuine Saxon Twin Tube frames not much rarer than the Claud Butler ones we have been reading about lately?
