Hi All,

Thank you for mentioning me Raoul. Yes! Bicycle Classics does still offer these for anyone interested. They are not listed at this time on the web, but that is only because I have not had the time. These are the best I know of. Your tires at any price are still the single least expensive upgrade you can make that has the power to totally transform the bike. If you are a true bike weenie you have experimented a lot of dollars on the hope of improved ride and performance. These tires are NOT an experiment. They are a sure bet. Money well spent. Actually they are less than below remembered prices at between $79 and about $129 right now.

Some of the bikes in the 'Herse Book' have a 28mm Dugast with diamond tread on them. Alas, this is a tire he no longer makes. It seems the only cross size tires being brought in right now are the knobbies, but I'm hopeful that if a fatter road pattern can still be made I will be able to get some. Inquiries are already being made on my behalf for a fatter road pattern (24-28mm.) This is the tire I wish to find for my randonneur project bike and I am sure I am not the only one. These would grace any bike and not just a French style bike with fenders.

Speaking of fenders, I should be offering HONJO fenders again soon. I have tried to get these for a while and it finally looks good. While I have tried to keep a file of those who have expressed interest I thought I better ask, just to be sure, if those who wanted some (old inquiries or new ones) can drop me an email and I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Thanks, Alan Schaeffer Bicycle Classics Danielson, CT
