Ah...yes, but, Dale if you recall a few months ago I sent both you and Ken Toda digital images of a Lambert aluminum fork that I have (3 are attached to this message), which appeared to have been 'factory modified' with a steel strengthening rod connecting the fork to the steerer tube. (This fork was part of my Lambert/Viscount contribution to the British bike theme of the Cirque last year) It is my belief, that at some point in time...perhaps when reports of fork failures began to surface...Lambert made a furtive attempt to solve the aluminum fork design problem, however briefly, perhaps in an effort to avoid having to completely replace a large inventory of existing forks. That's just a guess, of course, but I can't think of any other explanantion for the fork I have on the pariticular Lambert in my small(4)collection. Dave Van Hook in snowy Hershey PA
