I think this has run its course.......................
I visited CYCLEART about 3 years ago and JIM was kind enough to
give me the full tour, even cleverly steering me over to look at a couple
of frames he had painted on spec that were my size(cant fault his
salesmanship) from what I could see his operation was top notch and
workmanship looked excellent.
His job sheets look very detailed and He later quoted me on a
repair/repaint, it was not cheap but but again you cannot fault him for
proposing an A1 job,I did not have any emotional attachment for the bike
so I did not have the work done.
I later bought some small items from him and when they were a
little slow in coming I EMAILED him and not only did they promptly
arrive but he included extra at N/C.
On the DECAL issue I believe that the designs are copy righted or
represent registered devices these days but I know that SCHWINN was not
registered as a trade mark until the 70s. We ,as one of the 6 or 7
distributors across the country basically could offer almost anything as
SCHWINN APPROVED we would just order up the packaging to represent
that............we were smart enought to apply it to good quality items
only......things I am sure were very different when the set up their own
distribution network.
