That name brings back memories. FWIW, Andy Muzi, aka Ralph Bendix, is ("was" now, maybe, from what I've heard. Is YJ officially closed?) the Principal Owner of the Yellow Jersey Bike Shop (formerly the Yellow Jersey Bicycle Co-op) in Madison, Wisconsin. I'd describe him as a tad more than a "bike mechanic from Madison Wisconsin." Maybe "semi-legendary former long-haired hippie radical pro. bike shop owner with a penchant for the unique and interesting..."

They had Guerciottis, Colnagos, 3 Renshos, Swiss Army bikes, and lots of others that were more exotic than those. A very interesting place back then....

Another alumna of YJ is Sky Yeager. She worked there when I was in Madison, circa 1982. She is now a Director or VP at Bianchi USA IIRC.
