Just about 2 weeks ago I resolved an issue concerning rail lengths of Brooks saddles.
For the past 2 years I have ridden my Baylis not being able to get my Swift saddle back quite far enough for that perfect fit (I purchased the Baylis second hand, so the fit issues arent a negative refection on Brian). The fit was okay, but I found myself always trying to slide my rear further back on the saddle. On the other hand, my Sachs fitted with a Brooks B17 was a terrific fit.
A couple of weeks ago, just out of curiosity, I swapped saddles between the 2 bikes and found that the B17 on the Baylis gave me that little bit of length that Ive been wanting, (making the ride even more incredible). And, the Swift fitted to the Sachs worked great too with the seat post clamped about half way on the rails. I preferred the looks of the Swift on the Baylis, but I guess its not about the looks but rather the ride, right?
