There seems to have been some confusion between 1-bolt seatposts (bolt underneath, easy to reach, but adjustment prone to slippage) and 2-bolt seatposts (bolts above, difficult to reach especially with modern, "low" saddles compared to a tall Brooks with lots of room under the frame, never slips).
Not to quibble, but I have bittersweet memories of the Satri Gallet seatpost/seat pin, an exception to this guide. It was a 2-bolt design, but the bolt heads were below. Really easy to adjust, but: (1) It did move the seat back a bit, and (2) defective design: the transverse cylinders that acted to hold the seat on the track had a small diameter compared to the large threaded hole through them. They broke... Although more recent than our time frame, the American Classic also uses 2 bolts operated from underneath. Its early version also had problems, but I like the later one very much.
