What a lovely story... But, yeah, I saw that severe frame damage too--yikes! In addition, I hope he's not using the front brake too much on his daily ride; it looks like the pads engage the side of the tire, not the rim. :-( Well, maybe he's got good karma and is living right. With that he doesn't need to worry about finding some long-reach brakes. Its heartwarming to see such passion for a loyal two-wheeled "old friend" instead of lusting for the latest model/equipment fad as is too common in our country. Long may he run.
