Hi list, I have a 1970 French thread Campagnola Neuvo Record rear hub, with no markings on the hub to tell me it is French....On older Campagnola rear hubs is there a marking method or code when no numbers or BSC, Italian, French IS NOT ENGRAVED ON THE hub body? The method I used to make an educated guess on my 1970 hub was it is a Gitane-French with French pedal threads and only a French freewheel would thread on.....A friend mentioned a subtle coding consisting of a mark = X, two marks = Y and no mark = Z . I do not have an old Sutherland manual or the other known hubs to determine my friends theory (recollection). Any replies greatly appreciated. Yours truly, Martin Walsh in Vienna,Va
