Viscounts were made of straight gauge 4130 chrome-molibdenum steel tubing, fillet brazed.
Mine is ca. 1975 (I bought it in 1977) and is "handmade by Trusty of England". Contrary to some of the histories I've seen I think Yamaha was the final owner (I've read accounts both ways; the warranty replacement fork I got sometime after I bought the bike came from Yamaha, the story I heard at the time was Yamaha bought the Viscount business and got stuck with the fork problem and recalled them all).
If yours has lugs, it may be an early one, but I though the lugged ones
were all Lamberts.

Viscounts aren't terribly valuable, so it wouldn't pay to go *too* far with restoring it, but there's a lot of sentimental value in one's first good bike. I'd say it's pretty cool you were able to get it back!
