STRATA PELLISSIER BARS 15 1/2in (39.5cm) wide c-to-c. Excellent condition. The Pellissier shape was very popular in the 1950s and is a little similar to the modern Cinelli 65 shape sweeping forward fairly soon. Rare and lovely, just a few minor marks on the lower section from brake lever clips. $55

CAMPIONISSIMO LEATHER NATURAL COLOUR TOESTRAPS NOS excellent condition; these would perfectly complement a pair of Campagnolo pedals. $15
ALLEZ LEATHER HAIRNET HELMET - this appears to be practically unused and is marked with the size 59 on the inside. It looks as if it has hardly been worn if at all. The top surface of the protective ribs is black leather whilst the underside is tan. It is a really wonderful period piece. Allez was the trade name for Holdsworthy cycle components, a famous British firm. $40
STEEL HEADCLIP STYLE STEM perfect chrome, no clamp bolt 3in long with quite a short quill. Rare. $30
ELLIS CHAMPION 21in FRAME, frame number 9323 Chater-Lea headclip, standard size bottom bracket, nice hand cut lugs. Saddle bag support fitted to special brazed-on lugs. Percy Ellis was in Fulham, West London. The firm was in business as a framebuilder from 1897 until the early 60s and was one of a number of small British framebuilders who produced exceptionally high quality frames. This one I think judging from the details is from the late 1940s. The frame is in sound condition (though definitely needing a respray), there are some patches of light rusting but equally remains of the original tansfers are still there. One of the characteristics of Ellis frames was the use of round bladed forks which this one has. I have pre-war catalogues from Ellis but nothing post-war. It is spaced for a hub gear or fixed wheel at the rear at 110mm. $195
BIRAMALUX 27in RIMSET 36H NOS. These are identical in section to Weinmann Alesa 210 rims complete with spoke dimples but are stamped madein England, have perfect Birmalux transfers and a have a very lightly knurled braking surface. Perfect for that 70s British bike. $85
AIRLITE LARGE FLANGE/ALESA 27in WHEELS - Large flange Airlite gear/fixed hubs (32/40H) laced to 27in Weinmann Alesa rims. The wheels are very true and all the hub flanges and bearings appear to be in excellent condition. Small aluminium washers have been used under the spoke heads on the rear wheel - this was quite common practice on the best built wheels in England and improves the strength of the wheel by supporting the spoke at the head better. The rims too only show very light signs of use and are excellent. The gear side of the rear hub is spaced for a 5-speed freewheel and is 120mm over the locknuts. If these donĀ¹t sell this time I am going to have to take them apart - without taking into account wheelbuilding costs these wheels are worth more than this as hubs and rims! $175
