David, I couldn't say what originally came with your bike but perhaps my answer will be some sort of a guide. My friend Paul's '69 Frejus came with a Brooks B-17 as did my '69 Atala. If it helps at all, let me also give you an idea of what other sort of parts were on the bikes: Campi NR derailleurs and hubs; non-Campi cotterless crank on the Frejus, Magistroni on the Atala; Universal brakes on the Frejus, Weinmann (with Universal levers) on the Atala. Before the Frejus, Paul had a '65 or '66 Legnano whose saddle resembled a B-17 although it probably was a less expensive part. (The bike wasn't as nicely equipped as, in general.) Anyway, I hope this is useful, at least in some small manner. Best regards, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia
