Jim,

Personally, Kristal is my favorite, and I have tried a lot of different brands. Doesn't stain paint like the "old" Campy did (rare, but happens). "Old" Campy grease had great longevity. I don't know if Kristal can match that. Hopefully, we shouldn't be testing a grease's longevity since we perform religious periodic maintenance, right? To my knowledge, Kristal has been discontinued since about '96. I tried looking for some about 4 years ago, and came up empty handed. Good thing I still have a 500gr. tin. Ask your local shop to call Euro Asia to see if they might have any left.

This is venturing into off topic territory, but any opinions on the post-classic era Campy "Kristal" grease? Wondered how it compared to the original white Campy grease. I thought I had a life time supply of Campy grease stashed away, but it's dwindling fast! Thanks
