girls. therein lies the rub. most people know only about the brands marketed here in the u.s.during and after the 70s bike boom. the names we're familiar with are only the few that made the right connections at the right time. in the wake, scores of other marques remained at home and continued to ply their trade. in my opinion, from this group you'll discover the 'best of the best' because the avenues of time and money didn't intersect as heavily with these guys as with the more famously promoted brands that staked their future in north american sales. during my 79 3 week-er to italy with len preheim, we went to dozens of shops in which the hand-made aura was still evident. they were small, and stayed small, and are probably out of business by now. e-RICHIE
