Depends upon "host" frame!

Zeus equipment was often seen on bikes using French threading as well as BSC threaded bikes, so could be either direction!

French/metric threading (As well as Italian) are removed counterclockwise...

BSC /British are removed by turning clockwise.

To further complicate things for the home mechanic, if the fixed cup was installed properly, with Campag or similar tool, it will be a beast to remove no matter which threading, as it is really really tight!!
