Richard,
Sorry for comming up from behind this topic, but I'm a ways behind on my email.
I believe the "B" is not Belogna but Bergamo as the city where some Masis were made. I've not seen the "C" stamping before; are you bringing that one to the cirque? What vintage is he one with the C and what lugs? Original paint and graphics? Like to see that one.
BTW, regarding dates stamped on the steerer of Masi forks; that feature is limited to bikes built between "8,69" and "3,73" so far as I've seen. This is the period beginning with the first generation Italian built Gran Criterium and the last Italian built gran criteriums. Haven't seen enough Prestigues to know wheather the dating of the forks continues. Masi specials are not dated that way that I've seen; nor any other Masis CA or Italian.
To determine approx. age of earlier bikes a knowledge of the graphics and when they changed is helpful. Without original paint and graphics only an educated guess is often the best one will get. Hope that helps with Masi dates and locations.
