BRC or (Boyes Rosser Cycle) is or was a basic bottom to middle of the line mass produced line of bikes in Canada sold in bike shops not department stores. Mine came with Cro-moly frame and Tange forks and Sun Tour XC components except hubs and brakes.Replaced the original front Diacompe brakes and just had to replace the front derailleur with a Shimano as the SunTour snapped. I was going to put the Sun Tour wheels on it from my wife's late Rocky Mountain Transpo but the front is bend and the rear axle is broken. A foster kid rode her bike and was hit by a car and the frame became slightly bent. We were advised by the local bike shop that it was unrepairable so I stripped it and am saving the frame for a lawn ornament but reading stuff on this list I am starting to doubt whether we got the best advice. She does not ride much and mostly on paved trails and really loved her little orange and white Transpo. Myself I hit the handlebars with my knees on it.
