Something I'd like to know regarding parts size standards: When (to the decade i.e. 30's, 40's, etc.) were the currently-used standards established. I have a recently acquired 1940's Italian bike called an "Amerio" which uses a 22.0 mm ID steerer and has English BB threads--go figure!
