my supplements, those which include the items mentioned herein, are printed on large format color pages that are in the exact same vein (sp?) as the catalog #17, the BIG spiral bound bad boy. otoh, my #17a is a more euro-formated catalog that looks like #16, but has the silver cover.

alas, after 6 days, finally, a campagnolo thread!!!

Marc Borel mentioned that the Porta Catena (chain holder) was introduced at the Milan Trade Show held at the end of the year in 1977. Could the Catalog #17a Supplement (contents shown below) be from the same show?

Anyone have any opinions or new info?

1979 -- Catalog #17a Supplement is printed for the year-end trade shows. Included are a revised Super Record derailleur with script logo and different cage geometry, single bolt Nuovo Super Record seat post, Record front derailleur with four holes (later to be three) in cage, straight-band clamp (later to revert to traditional pointed-band clamp), short Nuovo Record dropouts without eyelets (drilled and taped for chain holder), chain holder with accompanying control lever and trigger, and fixing shoe-plate for pedals.
