Subject: [CR]English Bottom Bracket threads

Greetings from the Left coast. I have a curved tube Jack Taylor that is supposed to be a 1958 ex-works ( what ever that means) bike with track ends,braze-on fender loop mounts, and rear brake cable stops on the top tube. The fork tubes are round. The track ends have small tips on the rear end of the drop outs. Will the bottom bracket threads be typical 1.370" 24 TPI or could I have an odd ball. The fixed side is counter clock wise. The 1.370 thread in just a thread or two and get tight. Was there a Whitworth threading in the past or do I just need to chase them out. Thanks in advance Craig Griffith in San Luis Obispo, Ca.
