Kinda what I was thinking too, Hilary. Guess I should change that date in the Timeline from 1979 to 1977 for the intro date from the Milan Show.
Shows how inexact the dating can be. Modern example would be Campagnolo's ProFit pedals (I think that's what they are called) that were shown at two different Interbike Trade shows before they went on sale to the public!
