there are no appreciable cost differences between the 'so-called' normal tubes (531, etcetera) and those considered boutique-y. at most-a range of $50 difference, depending on the distribution channels and the volume buying involved. i can't address the relative costs of the "HiTen gaspipe" because i haven't bought any!
