What sort of problem did you have with the Bullseye pulleys? Or, what was the difference between the two that caused troubles? I've used both (and am currently using both), and never became aware of any drawback to the Bullseye pulleys. Granted, I never sat down to look for a difference either. I've used the Cyclone GT with good results with both pulley types.
There are differences between the pulleys, IIRC, in that the Bullseye have thinner teeth (from side to side). Maybe it takes more lateral pulley movement before the chain starts to move? In any event, the Bullseye pulleys were a big step forward relative to the original Cyclone pulleys (at least in terms of lube and maintenance). The sealed bearing Sun Tour pulleys are also great.
and as a side note, I'd be very surprised if any salesman ever said that a competitor's product was as good as theirs.
