I have this problem with a classic Malvern Star (3 Star model) from the forties. Because the steel stem was seized in the steerer tube, I have assumed that excess force was used on the handlebars ( with the wheel between the knees ),in a misguided effort to remove the stem, leading to the twisted fork. I'm hoping a framebuilder will be able to recover it.
Steven - I can't bear it any longer, so here's how I remember it: "Alison Gross, she must be, the ugliest witch in the North Country". Maybe I was under some influence at the time. Steeleye Span, wasn't it?
