Once every four years Newport RI used to fill up with America's Cup contestants and the sort of crowd that hangs around the upper levels of the yachting world. I had to transit the downtown area between home and the Naval Base and most afternoons things came to a standstill. One day, while making my between the lines of stopped traffic on my bike, I came up next to a man sitting in a Ferrari with the top down going absolutely nowhere fast. I leaned down and said "I pass cars like yours every day." "I don't doubt you one bit" was his reply.
