About four years ago, when I first started getting into vintage British bikes, a bloke in England sold me two 27 inch wheels laced to ASC hubs with ASC triggers. He charged me about $100 a wheel and apologized for having to charge that much!
My first Hetchins cost under $500.
Ebay has made vintage parts accessible and that's good but chronically inflated reserves along with a small cadre of collectors with deep pockets have skewed the market upwards.
One of the great things about this list is the reasonableness of people selling goods here at fair prices.
A tip of the bowler to Dale and the good people of CR.
