Subject: [CR]Bianchi lugs/repainted dutch bikes

On the subject of the raw frames said to be Bianchis...they did have a B cut in to the top of the downtube lug. Is this significant or meaningless? Any other qualities a Bianchi should have to help one identify whether it is authentic? Seatpost diameter?
