Subject: [CR]date of rims (mavic, ambrosio)

Hello,

I'd like to know more about these two rims, what year they were approx. manufactured and esp. what type of rider/riding they were intended for.

#1 Ambrosion Olympic Champion, tubular, 36 holes. Do not have at hand at the moment, at least eyletted, IIRC. Tube ist still installed, can't say if socketed.

#2 Mavic Record du Monde de l'heure, tubular, 36h, socketed. Mavic-logo is MAVIC in a rhomboid shape, sticker is mostly red, 'Record du monde...' sticker is bronze, might have been of golden colour.

Of the latter I know that it should be around 1980, guessing from the bicycle it's been on. I consider keeping the rim, if I should ever build me a set of tubular wheels or if I should try to sell it.

Regards,
Patrick
