My last mention of the Paletti created so much interest (albeit mostly for the crack in the crank), I thought I'd point out this frame I saw on eBay: http://ebay.com/<blah>

It's a Saint Tropez, model 710 (as you can see on the top tube in the extra pictures). Probably early 80s or late 70s (it originally had a Shimano 600 Arabesque groupo). Lou's Used Bicycle Buyers Guide lists this as a Taiwanese company, though this particular example is made in Japan. The Buyers Guide also points out that the 710's tubes are hi-tensile steel, so it's nothing special . . . unless you consider a 27" frame special. (Makes me wonder what the standover height on this one is!)

So if you're halfway between 6' and 7' tall, this might make you a good beater or fixed gear bike.
