I believe the front derailleur is a replacement. I can't identify it from my photos, however it's not a Simplex. The owner commented that he thought the bike was a commemorative edition issued because a Peugeot was ridden by the winner of the Tour de France in 1965/66. This doesn't fit with the facts. The owner also stated that the bike originally had Campagnolo equipment that was replaced by Simplex, however, the rear derailleur hanger is not threaded and there is no notch. I think this bike is very similar to John's with the exception being the color.
