Of interest to Dale no doubt, and perhaps others, there is a major track bike meet going on as we speak at the velodrome here in Houston just two miles from my house. The field includes two guys representing Cycles de Oro. I spoke briefly with one - didn't catch his name, but he said he works for Dale. They were third or fourth in the Madison this morning - not bad considering Marty Nothstein and partner were second. One of the CdO guys also rode pursuit and won his first heat in the closest contest of the round. The CdO guys sure get around. For anyone in the Houston area, the final session starts at 6 PM, so there's still time to catch the finals action. This meet was moved here from Dallas on very short notice, because the Dallas track needed repairs.
Calssic content - in the Women's Sprint which I attended, more than half the participants were using traditional toe clips and straps rather than clipless pedals.
