Just one more interesting tidbit about limonene: (Quoted from the website
http://physics.weber.edu/
The limonene molecule (C10H16) exists in two forms that are mirror images of each other:
l-limonene - smells piney, turpentine smell; and d-limonene - pleasing orange scent
The scents are the mind's interpretation of molecules.
Interesting (to me anyway) that the "handedness" (right-handed or left-handed) of a mirror-image molecule would affect the smell.
Classic content: I scrubbed pretty hard with d-limonene on a cotton rag to clean my early-60s Bianchi Specialissima, without hurting the paint or decals that I could see - though they were so far gone I might not have noticed - be careful on a new or nice paintjob. I think it's OK on paint though.
